Raygun Gothic Rocketship
A giant, interactive sculpture designed and developed with over 50 artists lead by Sean Orlando, David Shulman and Nathaniel Taylor. Currently residing on the Embarcadero in San Francisco between Oldenberg’s “Bow” and the Amtrak Station at the bottom of Mission Street. It is 40’ tall and 10’ in diameter with 3 floors of interactive art inside.
I contributed to the fabrication of the sculpture its self, as well as several of the internal pieces. I also developed the graphic design for the project including the logo, posters, stickers, mission patches, etc. in order to tell a fanciful tale that allowed visitors to imagine a future that never was enticing the awe and wonder of space travel from the point of view of 1930’s and 40’s America.
